Until now PRI service was available as a stand-alone voice solution for customers with higher than normal voice usage needs.  A business that used PRI and also required high bandwidth Internet service had little choice other than to purchase an additional dedicated service to fulfill this need.  The result was often a costly, over engineered solution due to investment required in equipment and services to support these multiple products.

Tel West Integrated PRI combines the advanced voice features of PRI service, with flexible, high bandwidth Internet access, while delivering the economic  benefit of a single integrated voice and data solution.

Integrated PRI is comprised of 23 B (bearer) channels and one D (data) channel on a single, digital T1. With control and signaling information assigned to the D-channel, the remaining 23 B-channels deliver high-quality voice, Internet and data traffic with greater optimization and cost efficiency.

 

Integrated PRI delivers:

Caller ID Delivery – Integrated PRI delivers caller ID information on inbound calls, allowing you to access call information and better serve your customers.

Dynamic Channel Allocation – Trunks specifically designed for inbound and/or outbound traffic can be programmed to instantly adjust during peak traffic times so that no calls are missed.

Increased Network Efficiency – Fast call set-up and takedown times result in a higher volume of calls being received and placed.

 

Additional Enhanced Features:
 

  • D-channel sharing: For customers utilizing more than one PRI, Integrated PRI allows the sharing of one D-channel from a single PRI to provide signaling and control for all PRI’s in order to utilize all 24 channels of the remaining PRI’s.
  • D-channel back-up: For customers utilizing more than one PRI, Integrated PRI offers a mechanism that assigns a back-up D-channel.
  • Option of one or two-way trunks.
  • Direct Inward Dialing provides employees with private, direct extensions from which they can make and receive calls directly without need for operators, receptionist assistance or dialing “9.”
